Human Rights Abuses: The Current Crisis

Iran continues to face severe human rights violations. This fight is for basic human rights: justice, freedom, and the right to live without fear of state violence. The Iranian people’s resilience inspires a global movement to stand against oppression.

IN 2024 ALONE:

1,000+ Executions

Tens of Thousands Silenced by Torture

Children Executed

Voices of Political Prisoners Crushed

Women Killed for Protesting

Opposing All Forms of Tyranny

The Iranian people have faced decades of oppression—first under the Shah’s monarchy and now under the religious theocracy. Both regimes inflicted immense suffering, using fear and violence to silence dissent.

Under the Shah, SAVAK, the secret police, crushed opposition through imprisonment and torture.

The current regime enforces its authority with extreme interpretations of religious laws, perpetuating this legacy of tyranny.

Oppression in any form is unacceptable. The Iranian people’s struggle transcends regimes and decades of injustice, reflecting a relentless pursuit of freedom and dignity. Their fight is not just against one form of tyranny but against all systems that deny basic human rights and suppress voices of dissent. This enduring resistance aims to establish a society where democracy, equality, and justice are not just ideals but realities for every citizen.

The 1979 Revolution and Its Betrayal

The 1979 Iranian Revolution was a historic uprising for freedom, democracy, and social justice. The people overthrew the Shah’s monarchy, hoping to create a society where all voices could be heard.

However, the revolution was taken over by religious elites who installed a theocratic regime under Ayatollah Khomeini. The promise of democracy was replaced by authoritarian rule, suppressing opposition, women’s rights, and basic freedoms.

The Iranian people’s dream of freedom was betrayed. Today, they continue to fight for the revolution’s original ideals—freedom, democracy, and human dignity.

Vision for the Future: A Free, Democratic Iran

Our vision is a democratic, secular Iran where human rights and equality are upheld for all. Inspired by the 10-point plan, we support equal rights for women, the abolition of the death penalty, freedom of speech, and an end to political persecution.

We envision a future where Iranians freely choose their leaders and live without fear. Together, we stand with the Iranian people in their fight for justice, freedom, and dignity.
